❓ Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between C and CE buttons?
+
The C (Clear) button clears everything including the current calculation and history, resetting the calculator to zero. The CE (Clear Entry) button only clears the current number being entered, allowing you to correct mistakes without losing your entire calculation.
Can I use my keyboard to operate the calculator?
+
Yes! The calculator supports full keyboard input. Use number keys (0-9), operators (+, -, *, /), decimal point (.), Enter or = for calculation, Escape for clear all, Delete for clear entry, and Backspace to delete the last digit.
What happens if I divide by zero?
+
Division by zero will display "Error" on the calculator screen. This is mathematically undefined, so the calculator prevents this operation and shows an error message. Simply press C or CE to clear the error and start a new calculation.
How many decimal places does the calculator show?
+
The calculator automatically formats results to show the most appropriate number of decimal places, typically up to 10 decimal places for precision. Very long results are displayed in scientific notation when necessary to fit the display screen.
Can I perform multiple operations in sequence?
+
Yes! You can chain operations together. After getting a result, you can immediately use an operator to continue calculating with that result. The calculator follows standard order of operations and shows your calculation history in the upper display.
